Hi there!

I have recently bought the car of my dreams, 300zx tt auto in black. i was initially looking for a manual but nearly everyone i hadbeen to look at had been abused. i then came across an auto that was in excellent condition and had been owned by an enthusiast and never looked back. it drives fantastic.

The car isnt perfect by all means. the targa roof leaks in heavy rain and it has a small oil leak.

However it has had a reconditioned engine installed by zed world amd other small modifications so i am happy.

My ambition is to fit the wide arch kit on it when i can afford it but my main focus is to concentrate on making sure it is mechanically sound before i think about buying bodykits etc.

Does anyone have any info regarding fitting a wide arch kit? Ur help would be much appreciated.

Also, could anyone tell me if there is any meets/shows in the yorkshire region coming up.

Cheers

andy

Welcome to the forum mate but first things first....pics!!!

There ain't many targa topped zed a that don't leak but can be remedied by giving the seals a warm bath, bathing them in peteoleum jelly helped mine or replacing them, but they are not cheap!

Wide arch kits are a pretty penny to fit. They require arch cutting and welding, and

A lot of prep, not forgetting the respray at the end ofcourse but they can be found as a lot on z centres website and I'm sure you can get some others from the USA.

But anyway, welcome.

Welcome Andy, I'm based near York so not too far, unfortunately dont have my Zed any more but I'm sure there'll be some nearby-ish meets coming up in the summer!

Welcome Andy! Looking forward to the pics, I'm only over in Lincoln :)

Welcome to the club Andy and we hope you have fun in your new toy. Try doing a search on wide arch, there may be some past posts that have some info that might be of use, there have been a few wide arch conversions done in the past, but as said, a fair amount of work involved and cost too, then you might also think about bigger wheels to fill the arch. Get your niggles sorted first, enjoy it for a while and then think about where you want to go with it.

All the best

the cars pretty standard apart from a mongoose exhaust system, alloys and a flush spoiler as appose to the standard rubber one that tends to get filled with water.
