Hi Guys, i just had a rude awakening this morning after my car horn going off continuously for an hour. Neighbor knocked on the door and i ignored it after looking at the time, i thought who the F*** is knocking this time of the morning on a Sunday ( 8am).

It wasnt until i heard this constant noise like someone has a hoover on outside cleaning their car, that i got up to investigate.

Why couldnt i hear it? Last night i couldnt park outside my own house as some tit a few doors up decided to park his van there and i had to park down the road. ( cant wait till my drive is done lol)

Anyway i had this happen once before, where the horn started on its own constantly , at the time i took out the fuse, with the intention of sorting out later, then forgot about it. Like today it was raining, so thought there must be a connection, . When the MOT was due in Dec, i checked the car over and replaced the fuse, everything was fine and horn worked.

The relay for the horn is in the fuse box under the bonnet, near the horn fuse, no water getting in at all, so apart from terminals on the horns themselves im a bit confused as where to start.

If anyone has had a similar experience or can shed some light on the issue, i will be most grateful.

Cheers

I thought it but didn't say it lol

Deffo be N/s relays/connectors due to Targa drain-mine did exactly the same!

Bit of a tip, get some silicone pipe to replace the crappy hard plastic tubes, this wont shrink and pull off!

This happened to me a few years ago I pulled the relay out and left it at that, the cars sat on drive sorn will probally be full of water so another fix to do lol
