  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

still there Steve?

Yup 6 complete, few left haha. Week away from it next week then potentially back on it, or they may bring in a different team to spread it out. I tell you this much though all that PPE regulations and simply the scale of the site is exhausting. Brain is still whirring now, but I've gotta back on site at 7.30, oh the joy.

On a more positive note I've cleaned, clay barred and t cutted that bonnet, two more prep processes then il fit it, and the tyres turned up today and are waiting in my fish room for me :)

Mine has had new paint and is almost completely assembled and ready for polishing :)

Sneaky pic

Well, after several attempts, I finally managed to get my headlights roughly set.

A bit embarrassing really. The first set up on the low beam a few days ago know were just, well, weird.

The pattern was nothing like I expected, so I changed the bulbs, this made things even worse.

One side looked good the other cr#p. Then it dawned on me, I had managed to fit the bulbs upside down initially.:blushing:

I confess to this so as to help save fellow members from falling into the same trap.

The pictures that follow are firstly main beam and then low beam.

Not perfect, but getting there.

I am still not convinced that I have not inserted the main beam bulbs upside down.

( is that possible? )

The bulbs should only fit properly one way, that is there is a half moon shape on the top and a notch on the bottom, therefore only allowing proper fitment in one axis,

At a boy, it's exactly what I would have done to it.

I could put up with the NA I think but the auto is too lazy and I like to keep the revs and cost down where I can. Not cruising along at 4000rpm lol. And why just fit a manual conversion when there's a TT engine sat there and everything I could possibly need to swap it over!

Very nice Baz.

Love the wheels!

Totally agree mate, I know some would say such a rare car shouldn't be messed with, but I say it's a waste of a beautifull rare shell ESP with the bloody auto.

Got my new exhaust and started to paint it. Cannot wait Abflug on will be for sale soon :)

The winchman then jumped in and I did a bit of a non standard departure! I then saw that Master Aircrew Bodiam had juat pulled into the car park, the SARF Winch Op training officer! Oops.

They were all nasty and the 2 on the far left looked as if they have been in there since it left the factory.. So I put in some nice new clean ones, that will help but unfortunately hasn't sorted the problem

Black as bog as well. Looks like your running rich. Is the far left one from cyl number 1 by any chance by the oil filler,

It does have quite a taint fuel smell. It's not no, it from cylinder no.6 I think? top right closest to the battery under the balance bar.
