Going to start this thread for members to post up what they did each day to there zed. I will start with getting my MOT this morning. So what did you do today on your 300?:cool3:

Today I installed the UK dials I received from Dan. I decided to swap over the white casing and the clear plastic screen (for use of a better word) as my JDM one was in better condition. That way I also keep the white led illumination.

I was pleasantly surprised that swapping the dials went without a problem. First time in a while I’ve been able to say that about my Zed. Then again, I’ve had a bit of practice!

 

Is this legit! The dials read the correct vehicle speed straight off the bat too or was there some tweaking required?

The dials read the correct speed to within 2(ish) MPH when compared to my phone and sat nav. Could probably get it closer but i'm happy with that margin.

US models had electronically dampened suspension. So you could change the stiffness from touring to sport

Had trouble starting my blue Zed so brought it into work today, battery was dead. And found the source of my over fueling, throttle position sensor was completely wrong. Now set correctly running 10x better

Yeh its OK. Will be better once I've done a few mods on it & sorted the paint. & when it runs lol.

LOL. We've all been there mate, will be how you want it in no time.

Starting to remove the exhaust, prop etc. to strip out the rear subframe and replace all the bushes on the arms etc. Anyone recommend where I Can get the bushes for the rear arm and traction arm please?

We've all thought this at some point. But just weight up your options and don't rush into anything. Who knows it could be a stuck thermostat and fix for £20 and half an hour

The AA man came out and checked the coolant. Going by how much he put into the radiator I’m guessing it was empty. Suspect it is a small leak at this stage as there were no obvious signs of water coming out and the temperature gauge didn’t go above where it normally sits on the drive home. Going to keep an eye on it and see how much I loose over the next couple of days before investigating further.

 

In addition to this I’m almost at the end of my tether with my leaking roof… Although I’ve just thought… perhaps my roof isn’t getting worse and it is in fact my heater matrix that causing the damp carpets and loss of coolant???

Put some rubber mats in, the water will collect on them if that's the problem.

Just put my hand as far up the back of the dash as I could reach. I’m now certain it’s the heater core/matrix. Anyone know where I can buy one of these in the UK? Will Nissan be able to supply one?

Do your research and you will find there's another Nissan, primera I think that is much cheaper and fits.
