  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

So lucky to have a big garage and I feel your pain with not having one as I used to do everything to the car s outside years ago. But its a great place to be when its raining like now and I can potter about in it. :)

My main requirement for our next house.... Has to be a double;)

No space for a lean-to Dave? I've just convinced the wife that we need a bigger shed, so will be building a new one in a few months on the back of the lean-to practically turning it into a garage.

As it was a nice day, Julia and I took the Zed for a blast through The Cotswolds......

....Stopped off at Hidcote Manor, near Morton-in-the-Marsh and enjoyed exploring the gardens. Had some tea followed by a "spirited" drive home via Chipping Norton and Woodstock. It sure felt good to know the Zed was back on form, after its recent radiator woes....

I am impressed with the Mishimoto rad and auto-trans cooler set-up! It didn't feel too hot under the bonnet after the trip, ATF was right on the level, pink and, again, not particularly hot. New viscous fan stopped dead when I turned off the engine..... New Mondo-trimmed steering wheel feels great to handle..... All appears good and healthy - just in time for a week's holiday in Devon next month....

I love my Zed......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Well actually, that is what I'm looking at getting done ahead of the winter... Sticking a car port on the side, at least it'll keep most of the weather off. :)

Definitely!

Went to Kent to get my Zed swapped it round with my brothers car. Nice drive to my sisters car ran well, next week back home, put away in garage ready for Classic-and-Sports-cars-by-the-lake.

Looks like classic and sports by the lake is a no go for me. Called to find out if I could get in and was told the patten is full.. Was given the option to drive there and see on the day if a space became available but I can't afford to pay for fuel and find I get turned around.. Gutted but there's always next year. Jae is the week after so, it's looking like that will be my last event of the year now.

That's a shame, I'm sure we can make an effort to squeeze you in next to us...

It's unfortunately not a case of squeezing in Ali, it's a public liability thing I'm afraid. The event organisers can only hold a certain number of vehicles and I was just too late to get in.

After speaking to Karen, she has said that I'm welcome to come on the day and wait in the holding area incase of a space becoming available due to non arrivals but even then I wouldn't be able to get alongside you guys unless of course it's one of ours that doesn't arrive.

I may decide on the day to come along and take the chance but the prospect of paying for fuel to get there and back with the possibility of being turned away is a little off putting to say the least, especially when my finances have been sucked drier than a Virginia at a vampires party at present!

I'll see what happens closer to the time, although I'm not even 100% certain that my car will be ready to go as I'm having trouble contacting Mr dent at the moment.

Anyway, I'll keep my ear to the ground as Tony has kindly told me he will let me know if anybody drops out.

So maybe I'll see you, maybe not but ya never know!

I'm having trouble contacting Mr dent at the moment.

Is he not still on holiday, Paul?

Picked up the spoiler. Just need to get the water out of it now!

Never noticed the underside of it also has orange peel paintwork.

I used mine for the daily commute today - and again, I'm pleased I did. The Zed is certainly back to true form once again.....

It's tucked away safely in my garage now, though. And is full of BP's finest. I'll probably give it a nice clean at the weekend - ready for the next excursion....

Yes you need to give it a good polish or it will get jealous when the new blue car comes

Great stuff Richard.. Glad to see your enjoying it again.

Can't wait to get my old girl in to be fixed up. Looking forward to finding out what a new set of turbos feels like. Just hope the rest of the car can take all that new performance again.

I'll be driving her very calmly from now on though and going back to the occasional turbo boosting..

Couldn't cope with another high price problem for a little while.

Maybe now you're up and running again Richard, we can arrange a mini meet somewhere on a weekend sometime soon?

Fitted and a quick wash

I took a couple of hours off this afternoon and went for a drive around the North East coast.

I don't know what it's like anywhere else, but it's perfect "roof off" weather here: warm, sunny and just a very slight breeze. :)

Lots of people stopped and looked... a few thumbs-ups from the younger generation... just a really nice, chilled out drive. Loved it!

Took my 3 girls on a cruise in my favorite Zcar... We had a blast! I even let them enjoy a SnoBiz snow cone in it... Of course baby girl enjoyed her bottle and cared nothing about the Z! Lol!! But it was cool!

My middle daughter said "I'm getting the 300 as my first car, it's mine I called it first I called it first! Right Daddy?!" As if she was beating her older sister on the claim on the Z32. But of course I said anything you want
