  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Not so much "What I did to my Zed today" but what Andy (Phutumsch) has done:thumbup: He's sorted out my headlamps and by all accounts it wasn't as straightforward as we had thought due to my inserts being different to the regular "Run of the Mill" 99 spec inserts!!

Couple of pics...

I can't rate the work Andy does high enough, he explains and updates everything, always keeping you in the picture or asking your opinion on his ideas

Looks really nice that Rich! Well done Andy!! :)

I took mine on a little 200 mile round trip.....

.....To visit the Bath Christmas Market. M4 was nice and quiet, so we got down nice and early and started with a very civilised breakfast of eggs royal in the Pump Room, before strolling around the city. Bought a few bits, then back in the Zed before the rush, for a healthy blast home. The Zed is looking a wee bit grimy now though...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

The 300zx and Bath looking great Rich

Agreed [emoji106]

Thanks guys....

As I couldn't be asked to move the cars around when we got home, I think I might just use Zeddy for the rest of the week..... Hell, it would be rude not to:wink:

Fingers crossed for a dry Saturday though - so I can give it a nice wash and wax before Christmas...

Today I checked and tightened the clips on 5 of the fuel hoses in the engine bay as they were rather loose.

With the engine running it was like a fountain of fuel under the bonnet!

The hose under the fuel regulator and also the little hose at the front of the block were a pain, as the clips were facing the wrong way, got them with a bit of fiddling.

I gave the zed a quick wash when I finished work today.... Must have looked a bit crazy as it was dark!

Colour coded and tidied up the engine bay mostly this week. Relocated the ptu as well as refreshing the loom and plugs with new loom tape, spiral loom wrap as well as using contact cleaners on all plugs.

Nearly finished the covers and colour coding.

Piiiiiiiiics!

I need to put it all back together yet. I Smoothed the fan cowling also which let's the Koyo rad bracket fit better I found.

Ill post a seek peak as I said it's not all there or fitted yet!

Finished pics to come soon.

Thanks Im in need of a few switching round. Annoying why it does that.

Did you simply grind away the plastic supports? is it strong enough without them?

I cut the plastic away sanded and then filler primed then painted.

The rigidity and strength is fine also.

I painted only part of the moustache a month or so ago, the area just around the fog light and indicator....it didn't look too bad but decided to fill it all in today.

Done in the same dark grey colour as my headlight inserts, i also think my NISSAN badge shows up better against it and this i freshened up with coat of chrome spray .

I have some more series 2 indicators on order and these i will slightly tint, the ones on are mint and i don't wish to spoil these.

I want a duel maff set up like this nice man

Ordered a pair of part worn (6mm thread) Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX's in 245/35/18 for the front Veilsides. Have the Veilsides back at the refurbishers to polish out the inserts as painting them was proving difficult with the polished faces:yes:
