  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I once saw a picture of these decals and i saved it to my desktop.

On occasions i would look for it with of course a view to buying some, couldn't find anything.

I then came across a glimmer of hope, i inquired and these have been made up for me completely from scratch with my dimensions, etc.

The red Japanese one on the spoke is also new, say's Work Wheels btw - i think !! The superwheels one only applied to the rears.

Thank you Rose (Mrs. Hollowpoint), great work :thumbup1:.

Are you sure you have enough stickers on one wheel there...?

No..................my life will not be fulfilled until i have one more on that final spoke !!

Imagine how many stickers you could fit on them if they were 18s Andy! :tt2:

................... is to change the washer jets!! I replaced them with a pair off a Volvo which give a "fan" pattern over the whole screen, rather than the two poxy "jets" off each original washer. Makes a world of difference to clearing the screen!

I'd highly recommend anyone to make the same change!........

^^^ Can we have some more information on your Volvo washer jet modification!

Which Volvo model are they from and do they fit perfectly?

Really....?

You like the idea of a fan pattern as opposed to the jet formation??? Hell, my old SLK had the dual jet formation, yet on the new one, MB has succumbed to the trend of spraying a fan across the 'screen... And I have to say it's bloody dangerous IMO!!! Granted, it might help to disperse water all over the 'screen; however, the "fan" spray has the negative effect of completely covering the windscreen before the first wipe, rendering me to drive blind for at least a second..... Not much, I know; but at (say) 90mph that's over 117 feet travelled. Blind. At least with the old jet, I could still see around the water splash!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

That's a good point Richard, our Peugeot 308 sprays in a fan all over the screen, must use about half a litre of fluid every spray!

Ok, I had plenty of cause to check this out yesterday on my way down to Lee Dent's and I can confirm that, at motorway speeds, the wind appears to push the "fan" of water down somewhat. So instead of covering the whole screen instantly, it covers the lower third, then the wipers distribute it across the rest.

Couple that with the fact that Z32 washer pumps aren't stupidly powerful in the first place, and the "upgraded" washer jets are, in my opinion at least, leaps and bounds ahead of the Nissan originals :thumbup1:

It shouldn't really matter how much water covers the screen; after all the Z32 does have warp speed on the wiper settings... Quicker than any other car I've driven!

True. But if you're stuck behind a wagon or something that's throwing muck and grime all over your screen, a less than satisfactory supply of water is going to achieve nothing but smearing that muck everywhere and obscuring your vision even further!

Been there, suffered that. Hence what is, in my mind, an upgrade to the OEM washer jets. :)

My comment was made in jest mate, I've never even thought about upgrading them tbh!

Guess what I have been doing for the past few evenings.....lol

Matches my other rear lights and the lettering now lights up....... first attempt done....... next one will be on a centre panel without the cracking already there....... lol

Cool - thanks for the update Simon... I know I was a sceptic, but there's no substitute for personal experience.....

I tell you what, power delivery is soooo much nicer and there appears to me more of it, especially top end! Seems a little more economical too and also it idles smoothly.

Did you take it to Noel for a map or did he do a generic chip to your specs?

Generic chip Graham. Even that has given the car noticeable gains and benefits. I still have a safety boost issue which I need to find a solution for, but overall, this has made a big improvement. Boost it's strong right through to max at just over 14psi. Constantly spins in second now rather than just a chirp, so it's making more power.

It will get tuned eventually. Need to fit the new SMICs first!

Got my first of two gauges through today and it's very pretty :)

Changed a bulb!

It may not be much but at least I did it myself. Have to rely on real people like Eurospec to do the cambelt, disk change and MOT.

Well I started the removal of the veilside kit............. Found a bit of paint has flaked off N/S front wing where bumper joins and a bit of rust has appeared.....

The paint can be addressed after I rub it down and treat it.....

Tomorrow the front bumper comes off.......

Going to test fit the new bumper as soon as I can...... lol

The pair of Nissan 350Z JDM Style Sport Horns are now up for sale, the indicator / side light units are ready to be cleaned and sold.......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Drove the SWB 120 miles to Jimmer @ PowerZed for a full service and thorough check-up (only the best will do).

Picked up some big-spec cylinder heads for the LWB development mule and some back-to-back testing on the dyno.

Pending the results, fully-built cylinder heads will be available in various specification levels. Short blocks & long blocks as well.
