Parcel Farce' do it again!!!

How the frig' they've managed to break this I'll never know

I bought a lightweight Odyssey battery for the zed and the guy who posted it did a fantastic job of wrapping it. Double thickness box, bubble wrapped all round, loads of tape and even wrote on both sides for the Parcel Farce' monkeys to take note "This Way UP" (with arrows pointing upwards!)

of course it arrives a day late but no problem, but then this evening I start to unwrap it and the first thing that becomes apparent is that it's been dropped and then as soon as I start to unwrap it I find that one of the ****ing terminals has snapped off!!!

THESE ****ING EEJITS' ARE REALLY STARTING TO GRIP MY SHIT, ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY!!!!!

I've just logged a complaint with them and received the usual automated "Thanks for telling us that we're shit, we know that we're shit and we'll always be shit.....please note that this is an automated e-mail response and we might bother our arses to get in touch at some time....maybe....if not please phone our premium rate hot line and we'll happily shaft you again"

*Ok well maybe that's not word for word but it's how I read it

Either way I can guarantee that they'll only cover £100 at best so not a chance in hell of me getting a replacement battery out of them

Someone's getting a battery rammed up their arse in the morning!!

All courier companies are (sadly) pretty much the same mate....

....it's just a question of finding the best of a bad bunch and hoping they don't break your consignment. My works storeman has tried them all - and has decided upon UPS; as they seem to deliver the greatest number of parcels in one piece (including glass panels)... Other than that, he uses FedEx; a bit cheaper but not so good on the damage front.

Just my luck eh!

Completely unrelated to the Parcel Farce fiasco, we've now had issues with UPS. We have a lot of kit shipped over from the US and pretty much without fail the shipping go's without issue up until the point it hits UK shores. Last week we had a courier driver refusing to hand over the delivery until the Import Duty bill had been paid (which had been paid 24 hrs earlier!! We showed proof/reference number etc, but he still refused saying that his office had to confirm it. I flipped my lid and told the idiot that he needed to get onto his office and have them confirm it. The driver literally ran away from my doorstep saying that he'd speak to his office but then drove off, only to be instructed by his office to 'go and deliver the parcel to the customer', we got it 5 minutes later. Then there's todays cluster ****, kit shipped from US 5 days ago (it landed within the first 24hrs) then took 4 days to clear customs. It was scheduled to be delivered today up until the point that UPS on the update link informed me that they'd sent it to Stansted airport ready to be shipped to the States!!!!WTF!!!!

Issue now resolved as we managed to intercept the shipment before it left, but it now means another 24 hr delay.

We have a big shipment worth a lot of money due next week with a very tight deadline, and we would stand to lose a huge contract if we're late delivering, so much so that muggins here now has to fly across the pond to bring the kit back in person. Someone needs to get a grip of this shit!

Bloody hell mate you are having a bad time of it. I suppose if you are importing a lot of kit then you will get a lot of hits but that is no excuse for the bad service on this side of the pond. I blame the companies for paying basic rates of pay so they end up with disgruntled employees who just dont care.
