How bizare after posting a thread the other day about a damaged tyre inner wall, today I was changing some tension rod arm for adjustable ones, always an ideal time to check tyres I checked out the front inner walls of the front tyres and was surprised again to find the example below, again whilst in place the side view looked fine but gave little indication as to the poor condition on the inner wall, this looks to have been a pot hole or kerb strike.

Make checking your tyre a regular job, even if you do smaller mileage and your zed is standing still for long periods.

Are they budget tyres,

Has said on last post my van done it, and see loads of bulges, and out of shape tyres giving vibrations and wheel bearing whine type noise, when we do mots.

All the ones I seen are budget cheap tyres, all normally with great looking tread.

Obviously expensive tyres can too, but the cheap ones seem to do a lot..

so if your opting for cheap tyres whats best, new cheap budget brands or part worn good named

brands

personally i prefer part worns, obviously brand new good brand tyres are best but not everyone can afford new tyres

Jeff would know best I would say for a zed, to be honest I aint got a clue lol.

Ive had pirrelli and they seemed to hard and was slippery but lasted.

Ive had dunlop and I think they were great, had a set of 4 Bridgestone run flats they were nasty the ride was terrible.

I have had part worns and never had a problem, think the last set I had were Bridgestone but not run flats and were good.

The budget ones I had were on my astra van fulrun and they have like new tread but bulges on the insides, I put it down to weight in the van with low profile tyre but seeing others im not sure now.

Bought a set of oem wheel reconditioned in black, with 4new tyres there cheap brand I had them on for a bit no bulges but there not very predictable when driving hard. Funny thing is they dont wheelspin easy and seem to have grip until going round a corner then they slide, but the front slides 1st and there all the same make.

Id say get the best u can afford, I would rather good name part worn then cheap nasties lol.

I know nothing about tyres exept how to check them in mots, but bulges seem more common on cheap crap.

ive used part worns for years and never had any probs, i used to know a few guuys in the trade and used to get the best of the bunch tread wise, gotta be better than cheap budget ones, although i did get a pair of free wanli's before and used them, they were ok but never did many miles in them, wouldnt have used them unless i got them for free lol

Yeah id have part worns over budget. Theres a place in Dagenham area u can choose between say £25/35/45etc.

Depending on quality u want,

If You left Your car without air in tyres for a long time almost all tyres do this after You pump them back to normal preasure.
