just a quick question,what the best way to clean a cone filter.I don't know the make,is there a spray that needs applying after as i had a piper x filter on my uno turbo once and im sure there was a spray to apply?

If its a filter like mine (HKS mushroom type) you just change the foam element. this is mine with the new element in and the old one beside it.

 

 

 

 

I wouldn't use a spray they tend to be oil based and you run the risk of sucking the oil through the filter and covering the MAF wire.

mine is a solid cone shaped filter can't change the foam.i was gonna scrub it with a mild cleaner and water.i only ask a when i rev the engine the pipework the filter connects to seems to compress alot as if its trying to pull air through but is struggling plus its running a bit rich and cleaning it may sort this to?...cheers for the replies so far

I drenched mine in petrol :cool3:.
