Hello, I did have a search before asking in a new thread but got a bit lost in all the tech. Basically my new power means the clutch is slipping and the brakes were already a bit tired after my track day, they're fine for the road but I wouldn't do another track day on them. The car has stock brakes but an uprated clutch fitted by zedworld, unknown make.

Who makes a good clutch is anyone selling one? I had a look on Japspeed but they didn't really have what I was looking for. I don't want an on off switch but need a stronger one.

And brakes, the D1 ones look good but cost a lot for just fronts or just rears. Will it ruin the balance putting big brakes on the fronts not the back? Can you fit the fronts on the back?

On a side note, I have realised I really don't need the power I have but really really need the brakes, I'm not even sure I like the power I worry too much on the road, Gona get a lot more track time in.

Thanks in advance.

Cool I like that answer it's £800 cheaper than saying I need four, to my mind if I did that it would be a good idea to put the bigger fronts in the back but I spose there would be handbrake issues.

the rear kit they do is perfect i will be ordering it soon the front kit eliminated 90%of the brake sponginess as well hoping the rears will give the totally instant pedal touch i like

Big brakes like D2 or K-sport up front and just change the rear pads for brand new ones. The stock brakes are poor even for standard power IMO.

Silverline, can front brakes be swapped to the rear with an adaptor plate? Would the handbrake be an issue?

theres no need they make a great rear kit if your refering to d2. if you otherwise on about stock four pot fronts on the rear ihave never tried it and to be fair fronts are the main problem not the rear fiix the front chances are you wilk be more than happy

Well that's gratitude for you! Took some work to get your car running sweet, and now you don't like it

In all seriousness, turn the boost down on 'setting A' until you get it to a comfortable level. It doesn't affect the map side of things.

I'm waiting on some prices from Competition Clutches and may have a promotional offer happening soon :thumbup1:

My 65 year old mother as a 1.2 Corsa, beware though it is the SXi version - sounds like perhaps it could be right up your street :whistling:.

Hi

I have no experience but the Americans really rate the SpecialityZ high 5 clutch. Not sure if it will be too much though as it can handle 800hp. Anyone had any experience of it on here?

The six offers no more HP than a stock one. Its just the level of trim it has :tt2:

I think 400hp is more than enough for everyday use

I have an RPS max TT clutch, GTR R33 brembo front calipers with DBA wiperslot discs and ferrodo 2500 pads. Got over 400bhp, clutch has taken drag racing, track, daily driving etc. Heavy pedal but very smooth pick up and not grabby at all. Brakes took a right good hammering round oulton park, in 7 lap intervals, did fade towards the end. But they took some serious abuse. Got some motul rb600f fluid in now and going to fit better cooling ducts so should do fine for most tracks and all road driving.

Hope this helps.

cheers

danny

ive got a stage 2 I think competition clutch, heavy as fook without the booster! but quite useable round town with the vac working. cant comment on its performance yet as ive only had it in a few hundred miles.

Thanks for all the advice guys sorry for the delay didn't spot the replies. I have manned up a bit and come to terms with the power, I got home and had a week of snow ice rain grit fog and shitty roads. What also didn't help is I had a scare with a speed camera I entered a 30zone slowing down but entered the zone at 37 then saw the van. I wasn't flying around at the time but I've just finished the 14 day sweat. Noz I know you are joking but I am grateful mate the car is so much sweeter smoother and of course powerful.
