seems around the right price for size, with koi all comes down to size and colours really, I've seen some around the same size different colours sell for over a grand a piece...

if they're offering you that is take it, koi price is very subjective. colour, shape, size and linage are all paramount. the massive prices you see are generally only ever applied to prize winning, fish or their direct offspring. the misconception that all koi are worth money is unfortunately wrong. I've seen koi of 2' pass hands for less than a £100 being non descript usually English bred ones. You would need a specialist to positively identify a fish, to get the best prices. Unfortunately, its not my specialist area, Im a reef aquaria guy. However I do own koi and have worked within those circles many moons ago. Without wanting to disappoint you too much that particular fish looks very much to me like a large ghost koi, which are not very valuable at all, as they simply are not show fish, hence the reason I say if you've been offered £300 for it bit their hand off. What's the other one look like? is that its tail I can see in the bottom left? if its solid black all over its not worth a dime. It may be Worthing joining a koi keeping forum and moving them on that way, at least you know they will be going to a good home.

no that's a common ghost carp not major money £40 50 tops each most want the red and white and black mix some of them are big money you can pick up large butterfly cheap now days sorry

they didn't offer me that they won't take fish they say it costs to much to keep before they resell ,i neally fell over when they said that as i'm no expert but seemed a bit high i don't think there that collectable, i know they have both been together for nearly 20 years

think i will start them at a low price see how i go

cheers boys any help is always the best

why are you selling them for he look in good health and by the look of the fish it not going to get much bigger as you can tell by the head iv got some jap ones 12 14 inch when I got them and thay got very large heads and I payd around 80 plus for them

i saved them at the end of last summer ,my sister works for re housing and the old boy had to go into a home so she asked me to go round and save them as the builders just fill it in the pond kill the fish so i took them to resell ,,my pond is to small to keep full term ,soon as the lillys come up there won't be to much room in there for that size of fish

the pictures shows the size of fish i have in there
