I've swopped my standard stereo for my pioneer head unit today. My only problem is the ariel plug. Does anyone know if there is a connector to change it to a normal plug or do i have to chop the wires and fit a new one? Cheers.

Rob.

Yep, there is a converter, I bought mine from Nissan's. I'm sorry I can't remember how much, but it was a while ago, Why not phone Bob, he may be able to help.

Yep, they are about £14.00.

Against advice, I cut the cables and put my own standard connections on the this works fine, the Nissan stereo was also connected to rear window heater for increased recepetion. I did not connect this wire and my stereo (Blaupunkt) has worked seamlessly.

I've just managed to get hold of an aerial converter for my Import TT. It just converts the standard Nissan aerial (two pins), to a longer universal one. Call Paragon on 0208 985 3656 and they will sort you out. It cost me about £3 I think.
