was expecting it to have more poke that 110 .. for being superturbo ... more on the lines of 150>160 there abouts

Its prolly on stock boost,as its so tidy it would be criminal but if it was tatty id like to make it look stock and take it out to surprise some peeps,be a right giggle.

not bad considering most 1.0 engines were around 30-40 hp, thats bloody good for a 1.0!

I remember them,3 cylinder triple valve,very high revving and proper fast in the day.rare now.not heard or seen of one for years.

The new Ford 1.0 ecoboost Focus I've got suprised people with 125ps... Plus they've wound it up to 200ps and put it in a Formula Ford single seater and it rips!

 

The block also sits on a bit of A4 paper to so really light.

So how much BHP to the ton would that micra have then? Sorry I'm a bit crap at that sort of thing :)

Yeh, the Micra must be around 900 kg if I had to guess. So around 120hp per ton.

 

Z32 :

 

LWB TT is about 190 hp per ton.

Slicktop TT is about 200 hp per ton.

 

LWB NA is about 155 hp per ton.

Slicktop NA is about 160 hp per ton

I was also using 300hp , not 280.

 

300/1.56 = 192

Yup - I remember the little Charade GTti too; wasn't it the first ordinary production car to acheive the magic 100bhp/litre...?

I was tempted by this, it looks nearly identical to my first car other than I had some 15's on it haha! Bidding a bit higher than I wanted to pay but I bet there are very few in the country like this...

the micra is lighter than you all think just a touch over 700 kilos for the turbo

1.2 came in at 675 kilos

so 160hp per tonne for the micra chaps there abought
