if you mean the enormous sigs that space out messages, no. IMHO, avatars over there on the left are preferable.

 

If you mean people being able to post pics as part of the message, that's nice to have (as long as people don't post megabytes of large pics which are only usable by people with a T1 line!)

Something has to be done to keep the bandwidth of the site down. It is permitted 20gig a month so far and any extra has to be paid for.

 

I may set something up on another server where i get cheap bandwidth for people to upload images ect.

Avatars on the left with your profile details would be much better.

 

But would that also include our old forum sigs like mine and Maccas just shrunk down to fit?

i think the signatures were a pain in the arse to be honest, far too big.

i hate to burst ur bubble but an avatar of 50x50 is so small you might aswell not bother.

Most forums have sig pics and avatars. personally i dont like avatars, sig pics are a much better way of making ur posts unique to you, and when used in moderation they can be neat and tidy also. Such as limiting them to 450x125 pixels be it pictures or text or a combination.

an avator is better, you can look at them rather than the persons name :)

 

Sigs should be allowed I think but not there should be a policy on them,
