Here we have a new addition to our trading section, to enable any member, with the sole intention of purchasing zeds to break and sell for parts.

As outlined below:

As enthusiasts, and in an ideal world we would like to save as many zeds as possible from the scrapyard

and keep them on the road to enjoy for many years to come.

Members of this club are here for their love of the 300zx, obtain parts and technical information as well as

becoming part of a great social circle of like-minded people.

This amendment to the trading rules is to clarify the guidelines on breaking a car or cars:

If you own a zed and there is no alternative to break, ie: body too rotten to save, engine dead

or beyond economical repair then a member under the present guidelines has the facility to break

the vehicle and sell parts from said vehicle, as necessary on the 300zx.co.uk forum.

whether for sale in Parts For Sale or the new Breakers Yard.

In addition, if you have bought a spare car to take parts from to fix your beloved zed, then a member

is also able to sell the remaining parts, no longer required in the Parts For Sale section.

Any member who buys a zed with the specific purpose to break, will be required to place an add in the

Breakers Yard and a fee will be charged £150 per year to break up to three Z32 cars.

This is specifically aimed at any member wishing to buy a zed for the sole purpose of breaking to make money.

Anyone that breaks more than two cars per year will be considered a Business or trading and unless approved

by the committee, ads will be removed without warning or notice.

A decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, so not to persecute an unlucky owner with circumstances out of their control.

We want to protect our traders and importantly retain the heritage of the Z32.

To advertise in the breakers Yard section, you will need to pay the fee £150 via

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/payments.php

With your forum name and a short description of what the payment is for.

You will then be subscribed to the Breakers Yard and will be able to post and advertise your parts.

All members will be able to reply to posts, and Only a member who subscribes to this section will be able to create a post.

Many thanks

Great news as this was an issue not long ago:thumbup1:

It always has been mate - because we have our legitimate traders; along with those in the unfortuante situation of having to break their pride and joy following an accident, MOT fail etc etc. And then you get the obvious "back door" traders - normal members who purport to be breaking a car, only to go on and break another in a month or two. Then another and so on....

......So Groover has thought long and hard about this and he came up with the solution posted above; which the committee believes is the fairest deal for everybody!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just a comment - don't take this the wrong way as its just an abservation.

If you paid £150 to break a zed and you had a list of parts for sale including a starter motor for say, and a regi like me happened to be after a starter then I wouldn't be able to reply to purchase it. However if I put out a shout in the forum i will get a starter within 5 minutes from someone else with a spare gathering dust and they will get my money without having paid £150...is that not a bit of a downside for the 'breakers' who are going to pay £150 if registered users can't purchase from them?

I can see its a good carrot to get registered users to subscribe if the breakers section became popular, but in order for it to get popular maybe everyone should be able to reply to the threads til it gets busy...then withdraw my access in a year and get me to sub

or maybe I should sub so I can correct my typos!!!!

Just 'absevered' the end of my first line of txt lol

registered users can buy and post back into the breakers yard; there was a misunderstanding of how it was originally suppose to be setup which should now be fixed.

Cool, makes more sense that way.

Groover you might want to update the end of your post

ONLY subscribed members will be able to reply to posts, and Only a member who subscribes to this section will be able to create a post.
