Thats what i do mate, used to be in a paint shop but now i just do smaller repairs and alloy refurbs out my van , being honest resprays are a very much get what you pay for thing ! If someone offers to fit one of them kits and a respray for under 1500 i would be weary !! Even 1500 to 2000 would be a very good price for a good job..

I'm certainly hoping so pal ha ha can't wait to get it sorted as I have hardly driven it

I always use a guy 5 miles from me, he works alone and as his own compact/sufficient unit.

Talked to him about a full respray on our MX5, for a proper job at least a grand he said, he wouldn't entertain doing a botched cutting corners type of job for less - the Mazda isn't worth that to us to warrant such a price.

One of our members 'Boldy' was setting up his own bodyshop and judging by his Z is very capable. Never heard if he went ahead with it or not though.

If your prepared to travel up the m53 mate look up a company called roberts refinishing, the guy is expensive but hes top top quality ! Hes got the worst form of ocd i have ever seen !

Cheers pal ill have a look is it off Rochdale Rd then near the ASDA?

From m60 or Victoria ave, go past fire station ( stare at firemen and beware of speed camera ) look for right hand turn couple of hundred yards further on. Only a small place on the left. Great lads who take pride in their work

Kit fitting is just the same as fitting panels is it not, expect it will be a walk in the park for him or any bodywork guy.

I already have his number, he would be the guy I will turn to if I still have the acne in a few months as I am just leaving it be for a while :crying:.

@alfie

Im not a million miles away from you in stoke - just had a similar job done on my zed (body kit and full respray) and was really happy with the work carried out. Not the cheapest no doubt but they pretty much took the car apart and sprayed all the panels then put it back together

Can I also suggest if you are gonna do this, replace all the external trim with new? It will cost you hundreds extra but the results are well worth it I believe

Mine is here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?166671-dicky-got-a-white-zed&highlight=

If you are interested in using the same guys jest get in touch

Rich

The lads I use are £130 a panel for paint but pretty sure they won't fit the kit

They will do body kits apparently so they could do the full job for you

Thanks for this im passing there tomorrow so will call in and ask.

ah just noticed where it is its just off rochdale rd as if your heading to crumpsall

Yes. Just after the petrol station on Rochdale rd. look for bunches of flowers on railings and that's your right turn

From personaly experience, price does reflect the job you get. Take your time and look at work they've done/doing and if possible, speak to any owners of work they've done. Any job can look good when you pick it up from a bodyshop, but how it looks 5 months down the line is a different matter ;)

Also ask how they fix kits etc

If you were closer I would advise you to head into Custom Exotics in Harlow if you wanted a top end job
