A few nights ago i made a passing comment about an 89 rear spoiler on a thread not connected and declared that i was intrested.Another member then stated that he had one but was unable to find the time to post due to work comitments but i could pick the item up for free. Now this basicly wrote that idea off as ime near chester (north west) and the member was in London so i put it to bed. Out of the blue tonight ive just had a pm from him stating he had taken the spoiler to his wifes work and she was going to post it tomorrow..iff that was,nt good enough he also told me and his words "free postage,free spoiler". This is such a massive gesture of generosity as we are not taking of a bulb here that i thought it was worthy of a special mention to the guy,so............. rolandas i cant thank you enough mate:bow::bow:

nice to see people are willing to go out there way to help other members, im exactly the same if im selling parts ect i will try and deliver myself for free while out on my rounds at work, even if it means going out my way as i have for a few on here

Just before JAE 2012 I answered a thread and said yes to free crystal bumper lights, he handed them to me at Wicksteed and to my surprise they were practically mint !! I did give him a tiddly invertor though.

 

Whilst there I eyeballed his stock tail lights and he said I could have them when he fitted his pot lights, duly enough a month later I get a pm and he sent them to me for free.

 

However, he wanted or rather I offered for payback a near mint illuminated reverse light panel, so after totting up this and that, I had it down to him owing me £25.00 I think it was but this was really mates rates but I was more than happy with this figure as he had been so good, trusting, honorable, etc.

 

He didn't send me the £25.00 I asked for........oh no........the guy sent me £40.00 !!!!

They may be the odd argument on this site, but they are nothing in comparisson to the help that goes on on this site.

Whilst on the subject of members going out of their way for other members, I am one of the people Mr Mattin has delivered parts to even after his round got changed he went two hours out his way to drop my turbos off for me. Sorry for not thanking you publicly already Paul, the Zed has been put to the back of my mind over Christmas :thumbup1:
