Pick this up of markderby, just wondering If anyone has had or has 1 of these fitted? Really looking for installation guide and help with set up if possible? Like what setting etc you have/had yours on. Now this is the proper old school 1 dial type. Proper 90's!!!

It is the really old one, not a safc just the afc!!! As I said proper old school.

I think this is the one I sold to Mark

yes it was ..never got around to fitting it due to going with after market ecu

Why are you fitting an AFC?

It's not a great idea to control fueling with an SAFC/AFC, but it's fine for monitoring purposes (which you won't have on yours being an AFC). Settings from one car won't necessarily work on another. Make sure you have a wideband sensor & gauge/logger fitted to monitor AFR if you are going to make adjustments, or do it on the dyno. Bear in mind that when you make adjustments to fueling, you are fudging the MAF (load) signal to the ECU, which in turn will have other effects due to the ECU accessing a different load site to what it should be (timing...).

Piggyback controllers such as the SAFC, Unichip, FCD & speed limiters etcs are only really necessary on cars with unlockable ECUs (eg. Toyota Starlet/MR2/Supra) where the only option currently for control is a full standalone EMS. They really have no place on any 90's Nissan unless for monitoring - I used to have a black SAFC2 in my S13 because it looked nice and showed me airflow% on a big display :)
