Has anybody else found that the SWB driver position is a lot tighter than LWB?

I've never really thought about it before but the SWB driver position seems a lot tighter than my LWB ever was. I'm thinking maybe that the lack of rear footwell may play a part here.

Even with stock seats removed and smaller Sparco's fitted in their place it just feels more cramped

Has anybody else noticed this?

I think its cos you cant move the seat as far back, but its the same seat, hell its the same car

With a few inches missing. I commented to gaz about it a while back that his shorty felt less roomy, but there was some stuff behind the seat we put it down to that.

Never had a problem in mine and I'm just a smidging under 6 foot, I put the seat fully back and then forward just a touch so even if you were in excess of 6 foot you'd still be ok I'd of thought .

Driver/passenger room identical in both as far as Im concerned. Im 6ft2" and seat will go back further than I have it.

The only possible difference is curve of the roofline, but its so minimal I cant imagine that would be noticable.

It probably just feels more cramped because you don't have the perceived space behind you that the LWB does, maybe?

Unless you have an affro like that Everton head butt player guy - Fellani or whatever .

I'll get a video clip up in the morning to show what I mean. I've got a small amount of clearance from the top of my lid to the roof lining so I'm not overly concerned, I can just see that with the front part of th ecage in there it'll be very tight

Have to agree this would be the reason.

I found no difference between the lwb and the swb apart from not being able to recline the seats fully in the swb.

Oh I see........for when you pick up those eastern european girls of a night :winkiss:.
