I've seen some Z's with it and some without... If its optional, why do people remove them?

Haha, fair point, it could be more than 5 things I guess, but i'm reffering to the metal piece with pipes coming off it

Middle Hicas Control unit

Top Right Pas Pot

Left 3 plugs for the auto box loom

Bottom right Plugs for alt/start loom

Bottom left Window screen wash bottle

Superb, thank you for clarifying that. I take it the ones i've seen missing the control unit means they've been locked out...

lol... and which one of those can you remove?

and have been removed form most cars.....

yes its the Hicas Control unit, but there is a bit more to it than just removing that component.

Now I know what should be in the spot where my HID control box sits!

Superb, thank you for clarifying that. I take it the ones i've seen missing the control unit means they've been locked out...

its the Hydraulics hicas solenoid, which is only available on the 89-94 Twin Turbo. 94 onwards had Electronic Hicas and Non-turbos never had it.

So yeh, some remove it if they decide to lock the Hicas, and some never had it.

I know its a bit of topic but why do swb zeds have washer bottle in boot instead of under bonnet .Surely the front end is the same as a 2x2.

some swb have it in the front, i think i've also seen one with both front and rear
