turbo gauge

Hi there i have just got my first zx and not to sure how things should work etc so my well be posting a couple of times on here. Any way to the point, it looks like my turbo gauge is not working the thing is always in the middle and does not move. Is there some thing i need to check to make sure connected etc or have i got to take the thing out and clean. Any help would be great many thanks.

The solenoid is located on the drivers side of the engine bay next to the master cylinder and small fuse box, this connects to the balance bar via some vac line, possibly via some rats nest vacuum lines. Just check those connections first.
