I've had it mind to do my 99 spec copies with full led's for sometime now, finally got all the strip lights I needed to complete the job and yes I am very pleased, might even open up my genuine 99's and led them up :yes:.

 

In this vid you will notice at 1:50 in, I have incorporated a fog light and about half way through I have them on in darkness :thumbup1:.

 

A little later tonight these will be on a well know auction site and seeing as I am pleased with how these have turned out I have ordered more of the lights required to convert more, at the moment then this is the only pair in the whole universe :biggrin:.

 

A lot of time as gone into these and they are not even for myself !!

I'm making some too, going down the circuit board same shape as the lens route tho, similar to the one zedwizz does, will bung some pics up once finished, loving those tho matey, I hate my indicators with orange bulbs and clear lenses, the bulb takes too long to light up and flash, whereas leds are instant, 1000 times better :thumbup1:

I cannot convert as yet for the odd few as I need to get supplies in to do the work, I do have all required on order.

 

Suggest you keep your eye on the item listed, maybe a contact through ebay once it ends and we take things from there.

That wouldn't work as you will need to order the necessary strip lights from the far east and they'd take that time frame to arrive at least with Xmas a looming as well.

Yes I know they are like yours and I know what you mean with the backup lights but I have got plenty of leds in there and in the main on other projects they have been very reliable, worst comes to the worst the OEM bulbs can be put back in.

 

If a LED pcb is used you can still have failure, at least with these it can cheaply and easily be rectified :yes:.
