What is it with people on here today is there no passion left for this car anymore eyeryone seems to be striping there cars rather than trying to keep the breed alive or is just all about pound notes these days surely some cars are worth saving !!!!!!!!

I can assure all members that we do not treat some members differently to others. Everybody in the club has agreed to the rules that we have all accepted as part of our membership. And EVERYBODY (mods, committee and members) abide by these rules.

 

Dkboro121 please do not use this thread for your own agenda. You have been told via PM why the club considers you as back door trading. Let's just say that calling yourself "jap-cars-north-east" on ebay and the zed in your avatar also being broken plus the silver TT and now the red one. Doesn't make you look like a typical member. Yes you have participated in discussions on the forum but the majority of your threads concern selling items.

just 2put the record straight the zed on my avatar is my 'blue' swb tt slicktop which i have spent thousands on and is nicely tucked up in the garage keeping warm and jap cars north east is not a business account it has around 2percent selling the rest are items ive bought, i changed the name to jap cars north east around a month ago to try and empty the garage of parts. i am not using this thread as a part of my agenda and i have contacted groover with all the details

Why did you use the pic of your shorty in a breaking thread that you have now deleted. If you are keeping it?

Ill break this down. you have a ebay page with 2 zeds that are clearly different being broken, one is a gray 91, the other a silver 92 (the one we pulled off the forum) there was also another post of a 3rd zed to generate interest as you are thinking about breaking that also (red zed).

 

That will be 3 zeds being broken, granted you have only advertised one zed on the forum that you are definitely break, but you then went on to start an interests thread with a second one less than a month after posting the first one, which actually prompted us to look further into this and discover you had a 3rd zed being broken (even though you have stated in the above reply you only have 1 zed being broken), if you wish to break all 3 zeds off the forum and sell by other means go for it, what we draw the line at, is you now have multiple 300zx's fit for the same purpose of being broken. using this forum to sell the parts and stepping on the toes of our trader who has paid decent money to trade second hand car parts to our members, 3 cars from one person IS going to be classed as trading, we have pulled other members up on this before in the past and not just on zeds being broken.

 

You go on to say about space being a factor yet have brought 3 cars to salvage parts from, and then break when you could of just brought those very parts off our registered trader with out paying substantially more for a whole car plus had the benefit of having more space, and a warranty, can you see how this doesnt make sense and why we are questioning it?

 

In one of your replies you even state about average joe making ends meet, average joe doesnt buy 3 zeds to make one whole one if he is trying to make ends meet, he buys a fully working zed with the money he paid for 4 zeds with, most people break zeds to recoup the costs of the parts they have spent over the course of a few years owning it, when things finally snap they have either had enough of the car, or they had an accident and now want shot of it. buying 3 cars knowing you only need specific things then breaking them is classed as trading.

 

The other thing is, we can not prove or disprove what you have said, we are only working on the fact you have 3 extra zeds of which at present 2 are being broken for parts with a 3rd waiting in the wings.

 

This goes against what any normal person would be doing hence why we are questioning it, we understand that you wish to keep at least one zed, and we hope that isnt in question, but we have a specialist second hand parts supplier and have had quite a few other people breaking there own zeds (not multiple zeds but one) that again you could of chosen too acquired the parts for your car from, we have even had 2 people breaking SWB 300zx's recently for any of your SWB parts which would of suited you more than 3 LWB cars.

 

Im sorry you feel like you are being targeted, but we have genuine concerns that your motives differ to what we are actually seeing with the reasons you have given, im sure you can understand how it looks to us and why we are taking the steps we are, i also know that groover has given you clear instructions on how to resolve this issue, may be an idea to talk with groover to resolve this.

i am going up to Middlesbrough to see my parents before Christmas and will gladly meet up with you if you want, as a long standing member of this forum over 8 years and a zed owner ( same zed) albeit slightly different now to when i bought it ....i can give some un biased feedback to the Mods on here as to what are the true intentions , having read the posts i can see where the Mods are coming from and also see the stance you are taking .....rules are rules and we all abide by them on here , many who didnt like it left and went to another forum which fell apart because it was too "slack" in my opinion and not Moderated or run correctly...things are different on the other forum now and from time to time i go on there but there are still people on there who i feel are far too opinionated abuse privellages and cause too much friction for my likeing

like i have already mentioned to the moderators the first zed i broke, i bought for an engine replacement for my slicktop tt. the car had being stood for a couple of year and for a few month of that it was stored outside and the targas were leaking and it had flood damage but engine was fine it has now being scrapped. when my engine was fitted it had electrical problems due to the loom being moved. i had already stripped and scrapped the original grey 91tt which is on my ebay account advertised as breaking, i just leave the picture on there for guidance. with my own zed having electrical problems i bought another zed with a broken engine for the wiring. ps my 91tt slicktop also has abs, hicas, screenwash, afm and other issues, so if you are telling me that buying parts of this website will be cheaper than buying a £500 barn find u gotta b kidding! the third zed i bought the 91tt silver import that i am currently breaking it as it is unrepairable and i intend to get my slicky fully sorted over the next month as i am off work 4a change and going to spend some quality time under the bonnet

First of all, You are splitting 3 cars not one, at the same time, something i see no one else doing except zedworld who paid the traders fee, if you wish to sell 2 cars and break one, then fine you may sell parts on the forum from the one car.

 

Second, the trader we are on about is JeffTT, he runs zedworld, and has paid a traders fee to supply parts to the forum with warranty from stripping multiple zeds, jeff already has to compete with individuals stripping single zeds, let along one person with 3 zeds. You honestly think its fair for him to pay £100 to strip multiple zeds, yet you can pay subscribers fee which is substantially less and do the same with 3 cars?

 

Third, Baz is splitting one zed, we have had words with baz in the past, why you have brought baz in to this is beyond me but you are the only one to mention him so far.

 

Forth if you are talking to groover, then why are you constantly bring it up on the open forum to fight your corner, you are doing your self no favours, we have given you the tools and means to sort this out via our TLO, you still have every right to strip and sell the parts on ebay / gumtree, but for now not on the forums until we have gone over your case.

 

We are taking this stance because we can not clarify with any degree of certainty that what you say is true, we take things on face value as we have too when dealing with people on a forum, especially someone splitting 3 zeds at the same time and using an ebay name similer to a trader in jap car parts.

 

We have set rules in place, we are adhering to those rules, like you should. I have given you the reasons we are taking this stance yet you have continued to ignore them and continually persisted in trying to fight your corner on the open forum, when we have already stated that you should sort this out with groover or a member of the committee (dark blue names in bold), but instead you have derailed another members thread for your own purpose.

 

Continuing to argue this instead of going through the proper channels as has been given too you, will result in a 7 day ban, take this as a warning. we have actually been quite lenient with you, most people we suspect of back door trading, end up with a ban first and have to sort this out via email. you need to stop posting about this and come to some sort of agreement with groover / committee.

 

You also need to understand others are not getting preferential treatment, they are actually following the rules and only splitting one zed not multiples.
