As a rough guide, how much import duty should I expect to pay on importing (67) items from the US each costing £821?

Depends on the Country and type of item and is typically between 22% and 25% of total cost inc shipping. So about £10-12k

Cheers mate, I've just tried three different links to that same calculator and they all had broken links.

 

the (67 units) @ £821 is importing to UK from US

 

and second duty I need to work out is (90 units) @ £1000 per unit from UK to US

 

I ****ing hate the tax man!

depends on how the goods have been declared ... but if its been declared at £821 it will be around 150>180 there abouts

Go with 25% and then any less is a bonus ;)

take the price of the items in dollars and the shipping cost in dollars convert to GBP then x by 5% (duty) then x again by 20% (vat) should give you a ball park figure but make sure your shipping quote is door to door otherwise you could get stung a lot in airport charges on top !!!

Yep. its always around 25% extra from price ON INVOICE (if You know what i mean :> )

Hahaha, customs and excise do a wicked paint job when they impound your car!

when ive imported a full quota of engine parts plus tubs and injectors costing $4000 the import is around £350 as a guide.
