Flooded..............Again!!!!!!!!

It's happened to me again, however this time it was on the way to work. Was going through some fairly deep water when she just died on me, this wouldn't be to bad but I was sat waiting for recovery watching the water rise up the footwells.

Hopefully when the wrecker wagon turns up it will start and not be in to bad a state, my new black interior will be shagged I imagine.

If it don't start expect a breaking thread soon.

FFS how unlucky is that.

Sorry to hear this.

Bloody hell mate thats awful. I must admit ive just driven back from Plymouth and I was suprised to see just how much water was sat either side of the M5 for quite a distance. Hope its not the end of another one :(

That is a sh1tter Rob but fingers crossed! Did the ECU's get wet in the footwell?

Well it's back and it don't start. It cranked once and that's it, only the starter solenoid ticking now.

Will have a proper look tomorrow in the light but it don't look good, the water inside the car was up to the base of the door so the ECU will have got wet.

Not happy!

Sorry to hear that Rob - I hope you get it sorted mate.

I heard about the flooding in Somerset today; one of my engineers lives in Taunton and he mentioned the state of the roads down there this morning...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Not good news Rob, time to pull the plugs and spin her over if she will. Hope you can get her started.

NEVER try crank your car over if it does this.... water doesnt compress and you'll snap/ bend your conrods..... goodbye engine. shut it off instantly... pull the plugs out, remove air filter for drying. and you'll have to drain your oil as the water will run past the rings, check oil for milkyness you may be lucky if ya catch it quick enough.
