remember to be very vigilant who you buy and sell from, below is a link to a thread on the M3 forum with details of a scam, they are getting very sneaky now

not a prob, apperently they are signing up using very similar names to what is already being used on the forum's, be extra carfull in wanted adds if you add your email addy, they will message you saying im so and so from 300zx.co.uk and offer you parts that you need, some tell tail signs will give it away like payment details and so forth

just be extra vigilant, they seem to be attacking forums left right and centre recently lol

Totally agree, western union is a favoured non escrow account for scammers, an easy spot.

There have been a few on Driftworks recently, same IP addresses but different user names. Similar sketch, replying to wanted threads (full set of 18" SSR Professor rims for a shade over a grand etc). Nigerian and always Western Union bank transfers, very necky

it may seem easy to spot, but when people are sending emails and using the same names as on forums it can be easy to miss

hope it doesnt happen from here

Good spot Allan - and thanks for the heads up mate!!

So if anyone receives replies off the forum to their wanted adds posted on here, then beware!! Most sellers on here would reply in your wanted thread - or by PM - both of which only subscribed members are permitted to do!! And I doubt the scammers will start subbing....:shifty:

This one real benefit of us having rules allowing only subscribed memebrs to sell on the forum!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
