What's the best way, do I take it up to running temp with cap on or off?

Any other pointers?

Have got heater temp to high 40

make sure the car is sitting up hill a little and fill to the top undo the bleed valve on the left side of rad

start the engine

run it till normal temp and keep topping it up untill all air is out the system and remains the same level
