Hi guys.

I've just bought these brake calipers:

I know that they're iron rather than aluminium, but that's about it. Can you help me identify which calipers they are?? They don't look like some of the calipers that come up if you google Z32 calipers...

They don't look as much like these...

More like these?

My apologies - you reckon these are series 3 Z32 callipers? Once I receive them, is there any embossing etc I can use to identify them...?

Will need to make sure I get the right shims and pins and pads.

Not necessarily, they may well be UK ones. Pads and shims are the same for both types.

They are most likely from an early UK car. Those are the common "breakers"

Okay great. Thanks for your help this far. More needed when I receive them no doubt...

I'm reasonably sure they aren't, because I bought them from a fella who'd purchased them to upgrade his S14 brakes.

I hope they aren't S14 calipers!

Im pretty sure s14 and z32 use the same calipers anyway they may of come off a 200sx but they will be ok

S14 = R32 GTS-T = 300zx UK = 300zx Jspec Series 3 onwards

Calipers are the same.

Also the same as some Subaru Impreza Calipers, but I cant remember which ones.

The ones in your 2nd picture are the Alloy version, found on the Series 1-2 Jspec 300zx. Fitment, Pads, Shims are the same. There may be a difference in Pad retaining pin length, I cant remember exactly on them.

If you say so! Haha. Glad to hear that really. How much would you expect to pay for two front iron S14 calipers, freshly painted, but with no shims or pins?

Used to sell them to S13 owners for £100 a pair with discs and pads. So i would say about £60-75 for just Calipers.

I see. I paid £112 delivered for the two calipers less the shims and pins. I see there is a set with pads, and all the shims etc available on eBay for £75.

Nightmare!
