The procedure to remove is simple enough.

The potential problem is getting the hub off the splined driveshaft end.

It could tap off really nicely......... Or NOT

No way of knowing in advance.

If it helps mate, mine just pulled off. It was cracking the the nut AFTER I'd removed it all that I struggled with.

Cheers mate I'll have to just dive in I guess, got so much to do, got to delete all the aiv as well got the day off tomorrow so will see what I can get done

Thinking about it. You could always undo the half shaft from the diff (6 bolts) and take the whole hub assembly to a garage to push out the HICAS bush. You wouldn't have to worry about taking the nut off and getting the splined shaft of then. Don't forget to disconnect the handbrake cable though...

yeah gonna enjoy taking the aiv out, and its a pain taking the dif out that way as i have a 1 piece prop which is a nightmare to get in! ill have a go at whipping the hubs off the spline first, cheers though steams!

No mate, you don't need to touch the prop, just undo the 6 bolts that hold the shaft to the diff (6 per side). Don't need to remove diff or prop mate.

ah with you now lol, mechanic i aint ( or smart lol) i may just take the suspension apart and take the hub off as wanted an excuse to change all the bits to the ones i painted up, as no one seems interested may as well stick them on my car lol

Hi if it's the outter hicas joints, u want to remove leave everything on the car,

There's a thread on here somewhere how to do it.

I cut the front part where the hicas rack bolts too off with a grinder allowing u to knock them out the otherway and get a good hit without anything in your way.

Just cut the front off heat with a torch, and get a big chisel and bang away to the bigger comes out.

To put new one in used an old socket and hit it back in.

Was fairly easy to do.

Goodluck and hope u sort it.

Crack the main hub nuts (end of the drive shaft) before you remove the hub, even if taking the hub off with the drive shaft attached, or you will more than likely struggle as they (or one, often the nearside) is so tight, it's very hard to work on and undo when not solidly on the car, and with the drive shaft attached it's a right contraption to be lugging about and putting on a press etc. Even doing that, with one of mine I used the biggest truck hub puller known to man, over two foot long, and a 4 foot breaker bar to tighten it, like something out of Dr. Who, and I was so close to breaking that, took me 3 days of soaking etc. just to remove the drive shaft from the hub, with no nut on it, hopefully yours will just fall off though matey :)
