i got this unbeatable gaurentee offer a few years ago when i had a zed, told me you would gaurentee to beat any quote i had, you beat the premium by a pound but put a £3000 excess on it, when i rang you reduced the excess to £2500, bit of a joke considering the excess i take out on all my insurance is voluntary £150

three times ive filled my details out on your website waiting for a call back or online quote and 3 times you havent bothered to get back to me, sorry but i wont even bother trying to get any more quotes, would hate to think what its like to claim

and sorry for jumping on this thread with a post like this, but as a club i like to think we look out for each other, im sure others have had a good or even great experience from ypous and they are more than welcome to post about it, but for me it wasnt good at all

just posting my experience

Adrian Flux quoted me £7200 for my Zed with a £750 excess... I'm actually insured for £550 with a £250 excess with someone else...

Same here, £1800 policy, (£500 excess) with adrian flux.

Or...

£150 policy, (£200 excess and breakdown cover) with sureterm direct.

There was a previous thread on this. I am with AF this year and its not been the easiest of nicest process, willing to share details if anybody interested but will not be re joining next year even if its cheaper. sorry.. I hope somebody hijacks this thread with a good experience..

Adrian flux and good experience impossible

Same, quote by flux £4000, went down to £1500 after a phone (the only one i might add, same as stellaz there, 4 times ive gone for a quote online, only 1 phone call received), £1500 is still excessive when you consider im 34 with 7 years driving experiance and the only claim i have is a no fault but even that was AFTER i got quoted, im not some 19 year old teen who's just past his test whos trying to insure a 300zx tt import.

Currently insured else where for £330 with a £150 excess and thats with all mods declared and fully comp with break down cover, plus the ability to buy back, and they will pay me 1/2 labour costs of the average of 2 quotes for repair, and give £500 towards parts, PLUS all legal costs covered.

Sorry Dan, never had a good experiance with getting a quote from flux.

left flux when they gave me a crap renewal price for my rx7. price went up, then upon calling them, they decided they could go cheaper than what they'd already offered me on renewal.

sorry, but you only get one chance to offer me your best price, and that should have been the renewal quote i was sent in the first place!

PBIS quote was £400 cheaper, and my Zed is cheaper again with sureterm. flux have done nothing to try and compete price wise over the last few years, and just rely on a good reputation from 10yrs ago. current service is shocking. dont go near them!

why can't I find a cheaper quote for mine?

L reg JDM tt.

exhaust, spoiler & bumper.

daily drive 18000 miles pa

one conviction.

I can't seem to get anyone to take on the high mileage (all motorway).

The high mileage and conviction are what's doing you mate. Most of us are either using classic insurance or low mileage.

i wouldnt insure again with flux unless they got there act together. im paying a measley £150 a year now for the zed flux wanted near on £700. why are they even a sponsor on here?

LOL! Sounds like I am the only one happy with Flux!!

Been with them for a few years, always had good service, always have beat the only better quote I get each year (Sky insurance) - £500 all mods declared with protected NCD & reasonable excess (£250 from memory), renewed a month or so ago.

:)

FYI Adrian Flux are an insurance trader on this site and not a sponsor.

no, not the only one then.... if you say that is good then I'm happy too........

Alright trader, same difference. But they have yo be giving or doing something the others arnt I never see a zedworld or car.mad banner in the top right. They must bevdoing something for this exclusiv ws advert. And its not fantastic insurance prices for members.

Yes they pay for the banner too, a trader has an option to have a banner at extra cost, but we are having a discussion at the moment to change the whole trading arena for the benefit of traders and members.

They sponsor 'Classic Car Rescue' on Channel 5 :thumbup1:

Bernie must be a nightmare to work with, he doesnt seem to do bugger all in this series, lets everyone else do the work, considering he builds engines lol

I have always found Adrian flux an absolute waste of time. I work in insurance so I fully understand the rating stuff but they've chosen to be miles out for me.

I assume the deal is as Alan suggested, beat it by a pound (many insurers have done this) but I think it should be comparable cover. So no stupid excess imposed.

Many companies do stuff like this to get more people through the door and can be a good way to data gather!

The other thing that bugs me about AF is that they have loads of poor comments on here and they never seem to be addressed by the company

Datascan, Conzult, ECUTalk and a few others

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:
