Do any of you guys use one of the parts washing tank things, I'm thinking of buying one as be helpful when cleaning degreasing parts?

Any of you find them worth the money?

Yea start at around £50 for one you put on a bench then around £100+ for free standing one

Must be that amount then mate, £100+ as it is free standing

I've got the bench one and it does the job. You can only get smallish items in it though.

I have the floor mounted one. 45L. £100 + vat.

Bear in mind the cost of fluid on top.

dont buy the water based stuff its crap. IMO.

Solvent based one much better. Around £50 for 25L but not from Machine Mart.

essential for the kind of work I do.

Maybe not for a one off job tho

Cool might invest in one then

just dont get suckerd into buying expensive degreaser...common old white spirit works perfect and keeps the pump seals lubricated:wink:

Finally got myselft I nice big 20 gallon one brand new £60 bargain I think :)

does sound like a bargin...any pics

I used to make the bloody things!

Used to work for NCH Mohawk in Ripley, they designed a new cleaning machine called the Torrent, leaked like ****. Cost around £1000 for one, was so expensive as it recycled all the dirty water so it was environmentally friendly or some *****x.

Two american engineers invented it. One of the workers on the assembly line (had a degree in nuclear physics - thats the recession for you) had a huge argument with both of them about the electrics being wrong - he got the sack for making them look stupid, circuit boards were changed the following week. Right shit place to work.

The machines were good apart from them all coming back to get fixed and when you can get one for a few £100 i could never understand who the hell was buying them.

Where did you get a new one like that for £60 mate? Is it safe with solvent degreasers?
