Hello all!

So I have dropped my Zed off for the annual service / MOT and am ordering new tires all round.

Since i have just insured my lovely partner on the machine (for those nights when I need to be ferried home drunk) I want to fit good performance tyres on so she doesn't kill us both. In particular, rain performance would be high on my list as the councils around where she lives seem to enjoy leaving lots of standing water around.

If I could do that without banrupting myself it would be spiffing.

So - any suggestions lads?

My preferred options are:

Toyo Proxes T1-R

Falken 452

Both are excellent in the dry and wet although I can't vouch for the Falken's performance in snow. When I had the Proxes on my Zed they performed well in most weather conditions.

Kind regards,

Dan

Continental SportContact5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy2. Don't waste your time with cheap tyres, they are just that.

Yep, I'd agree with either the Toyos or Continentals and also add Bridgestones.

The Falken 452's are pretty decent in the wet, cheap too!

They were okay in the snow last winter also, not as terrible as you'd expect given the width (255)...

Im running these Vredesteins at the moment: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Vredestein/Ultrac-Sessanta.htm

Very good tyre wet & dry - Vredestein have always made excellent wet tyres & these are aimed at the performance end of the market for good wet & dry performance.

Probably not a tyre I would have personally chose but they come with the wheels I bought & have been very happy with them in all conditions :)

Yeah. Not matadors! I've got Goodyear eagle f1s

I ran Eagle F1's for a while before these ones after everyone raved on about them - in all honesty I thought they were average to terrible! Never again!
