I'm having a few days in Norfolk with my wife.

We're pottering around in the Cromer/Norwich area - an area of low population density and pleasantly small/quiet roads (as most of the holiday makers have gone home).

But there are some seriously desirable cars here. In the last few days I have seen

- an Aston Martin Lagonda (the big 4-door)

- a super rare FIAT 130 Coupe

- a Stag and an XJS convertible on the same drive (me jealous ? ..... don't be silly)

- numerous classic Porches

- several project cars.

I had never seen a Great Wall until yesterday.

I will never underestimate Norfolk again ... these guys have style.

Anybody on this forum from Norfolk ? I take my hat off to you. The proportion of desirable cars on your roads seems to be unusually high (maybe not the Great Wall though ;-)

I used to live in Norfolk and can tell you that they are a very canny bunch of people and not the thick farmer type that people think. That's not to say that they still don't have their share of idiots though.lol

There's a lot of rich folk in Norfolk too.

I live in Norwich now and yeah there are some nice cars around this way. I was in the local Aston Martin garage's workshop a couple of months back and there was well over a million quids worth of customers cars sitting around and on the lifts in there. Seen a few Zeds round here as well, a mint Lancia Delta HF Turbo, tons of Lotus' and a couple nice Ferraris. I work down in Beaconsfield sometimes and you can't look out the window without seeing a nice car drive past.

Only thing that sucks about Norwich is it's not near anywhere and the transport links are dismal, really needs a motorway to the M11

I believe it's less than 2 hours to London by train though.....

....And I agree on the road link to the M11 - although the A11 has definitely improved in recent years!! However I also think that it is the lack of more direct and fast transport links that contribute to Norfolk's "niceness" because if it were closer to anywhere else, then I think it would become more quickly spoilt!!

Hope you well BTW Scott - let me know next time you're down in Beaconsfield if you want to meet for a coffee....!

I live close to several exotic brand garages (Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, McLaren), so I see my fair share of the latest ballistics ... but I do appreciate classic sports cars. Norfolk was great for that.

Unfotunately, we just arrived home .... and it is raining.

Are Fiat 130 coupes super rare? someone had a complete one for minor restoration not far from me, for about £600! maybe I should have bought it!

Yes ... rare and pretty. If it was a 130 you should have bought it.

Carandclassic have a saloon on for £8k right now, but the coupe is way cooler.

hmm cant remember if it was a saloon now. I really want a 131 but they are also like rocking horse sh!t now :(

No comparison between 130 and 131 ..... totally different cars

I had a neighbour once with a 131 ... it looked good and made a nice noise. Good luck if you are looking for one
