Hi,

Just fitted new toplink to drivers side, and when I got back to the 'wheel on' stage - gave it a good yank to test - OK vertical movement is now fixed - but now I notice there is some horizontal 'give'. If I place my hands either side of the wheel in line with the axle and push/pull there is about quarter of an inch total 'give'! Seems to be in the direction of the steering arm! Left side is OK.

Is this a bush thing - or a steering arm adjustment/replacement thing? HELP!

I had the same problem. It was the lower ball joint which needed replacing. Unfortunately you cannot buy the ball joint without the lower arm. From Nissan I think it is about £230. You're better off buying a good condition second hand lower arm with ball joint. It isn't a simple job...needs brute force and patience.

Good luck

Unfortunately it IS per side.
