This was Sonics old car and now on ebay for spares as a non runner , if Colin comes on let us know. I thought it had a warranty with the garage.

Bloody hell...... What happened there???

 

I thought it was sold (or at least was up for sale) for a decent price just the other month. How or why has it come to this now.....!!!

Oh i must have missed that thread, even so, i thought the garage gave a warranty.

maybe the garage offered it at a cheaper price with no warranty. although sometimes the warranties are worth a to55. my sister bought an escort years ago and the engine packed in within the first month. it took 4 months and a date with the claims court to get them to honour it.

shame the zed is getting broken though as it was in pretty good nick, plus being a uk model made it that little bit rarer.

if i didn't have to pay the garage a fortune to sort mine out at the moment, i would be snapping up that interior without a second thought!!!

That's a shame, looked a nice solid zed did that.

if i didnt like my OMP seats that much, id of loved that interior in mine, those colours really do suit the zed very well

Yes its a pity its being broken. Maybe someone will fix it up.

WTF.... sonic's zed was at mine just a few weeks before, plus 2 weeks prior it had a full load of work at zedworld, was running spot on, and perfect. Too good a zed to break, barry would be gutted.

Nice having it parked next to mine, looked like sisters, same colour, slight differnet mods, and only 150 numbers different on the vin plate.

Ok, guys just seen this so will come on and put my input in.

 

I dont really want to break it either in all fairness and if somebody comes up with a decent offer for the car as a whole then I will consider it but unfortuneately I cant afford to repair it myself but also cant have it sitting around for months on end as currently in neighbours drive and I need to recoup some of the money a: i paid out for this and b: money that was borrowed to buy another run around to get me to work etc. Been told it was oil pump failure that caused the engine damage (bottom end crank shaft bearings and also been told cracked the block).

so did the car not have a warranty when you bought it then?

Sorry to hear that buddy what a nice car shame to break it. But on the flipside i hope you raise enought moneys to do , if you do break and if you do can i have first dibs on the hard pipes please that said hope someone puts her back on the road .cheers.

Getting a warranty on a car more then 10 years old is going to be tricky, expensive and probably near to worthless !
