Well I've moved on now and got a few sets of headlights over the last few weeks and have made these on the bench initially with a view to fit in my own car :cool3:.

Pictures didn't seem to work so well so I made a small vid.

Done everything to these which includes a thorough cleaning, fitting of the Tamiya adjusting cogs, chroming the inserts, halo sidelights and then HID 6000k 55w dipped lights with slim ballasts.

Kept the 55w Phillips Halogen H1's in the main beam.

Hope you all like :thumbup1:

Maybe you should offer a service for peeps to send their headlamps to you to mod them and send the back?

Well I have done a similar thing with the rear lights so not out of the question, a part exchange system could work well but I need some goodies/stock on the shelf ready to fit into them and I am making arrangements with my far east contact to get me these at a favourable price.

Andy they are a quality job done although I was a bit worried about the deep heavy breathing whilst recording:crying:

Hard work this modding...or is it that I spend a lot of time in my garage alone :winkiss:

The main issue I see with that is the headlamps glass condition will vary so much between each one with stone chips etc.

I have six lenses in my garage and only one I cannot use and this must of been a very noticeable rock to do the damage it's done or perhaps someone levering :mad2: looking also at the ones on my car, these are in tip top condition also so will probably not be much of an issue at all :cool3:

They look fab Andy excellent work!

Those Phillips Halogen H1 bulbs you're using for the mains, are they a white light? My mains look a ghastly yellow compared to the dipped HID's

When I did the headlights that are currently on the car some years back, I got from the far east some cheap H1's and they didn't last two minutes so I stick now with the Philips stock ones, yellow I know in comparison but very reliable as I don't want failure as they are difficult to get at

I will give it some thought and will probably scout round and get some, would be nice as they will match the halos and HID's :cool3:

Well done Andy another quality job.

i would be interested in you converting my headlights when you ready. :)

cracking Job Andy ,

i have a set of headlamps just sitting in my garage waiting for this ....let me know matey

cheers
