Its come the day where me and my wife traveled 3.5 hrs from Cheshire to take my son to start at Bath uni, My oldest son, it was gut renching to leave him behind after having him around for the last 19 years, but he's got his own life now. We have just got home, to my youngest son who is 16, and one empty bedroom!!! At the momment were gutted!

Thanks mate only 2 years for us, what do we do then?? no kids at home!! it means i'll have talk to my wife!!! lol

 

LOL - whilst i have no kids so I cannot relate to your current issue; I can recommend alcohol to deal with having to speak to your wife.......

 

......joking aside mate, there was a report in the Sunday papers this weekend which said couples who regularly share a bottle of wine once or twice a week are happier than those who don't!! Enjoying a wee drink together is meant to be better than just one of you having the odd jar with mates/alone etc etc....

 

Enjoy the peace in your house - and like Brian says, look forward to the day you get the house back to yourself! My own folks still miss me - even though I moved miles away from them some years ago - but since I've been gone, they appreciate all the more the time we spend together if I go back for a day or two; or when they come over to mine for a change!

Our daughter has been gone nearly four years now.

She is in Xuzhou, China, teaching English. Been home twice on holiday. She is loving it !!
