Can recommend the following: Derek Wilkinson Mobile Car Mechanic based out of Colchester http://www.derekjwilkinsonmobilecarrepairs.co.uk/ Website is just standard template stuff but Derek himself seems very conscientious, works on classic cars in general and also a 200, another 300 and, I think a 350. Did a standard service on mine and I was impressed with his attention to detail. Don't get him talking about adjusting tappets on a Chevy, though :) No idea how much of a detailed Z expert he is but he has MJP Auto to call on so that should be a pretty good combination.

Also, this lot http://www.thomsonlocal.com/Led%20Part%20Worn%20Tyres/0110628407508120000/companyinfo.html LED Tyres in Ingatestone sorted out a tracking issue for me and, by all accounts, know how to set up a HICAS system as well.

Thanks also due to MJP Auto for usual top advice and assistance.

Might come in handy for those on that side of the metropolis.

Cheers, all

cheers for the info mate. based in colchester myself, i have to rely on local garages. i always go to t&m autos for any problem and although they are extremely good with fault finding and the work they do, they seem to be pretty slow at getting the jobs done. my zed has been with them for over a week while they were trying to figure out my cold start problem. they diagnosed it quickly so i bought the parts i needed from mark derby, had them sent directly to the garage (which they would have received thursday morning) but they said they won't be able to fit them till next week sometime. only good thing is they always rolling road it when they are finished for some reason, which is handy as i just had the ecu chipped and want to see if it has made any differance to the bhp from last time it was there.

Hi Mike,

It's good to see you're still around mate; I hope you're keeping well!! Thanks, as usual, for some sound advice to fellow members....

All the best,

Richard:cool3:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Thanks Gio, maybe someone to try next time I need a service :)

Hi Richard, yep, fine thanks just intercoursingly busy. Hi Vijay, Derek said he would go anywhere in London as long as not through Congestion Zone. I might not drag him all the way over here just for an oil filter change, though!

Hi Gary, should have done it yesterday after it was washed. Raining now (of course!)
