Hi all,

 

I'm Alex and last week I got myself a '91 300zx Targa :) :)

 

I have included a picture but as you can see she needs a good clean

 

Lots of things to sort out but i really don't mind as i'm totally loving the car.

 

Hopefully i can get some expert advice here on the things that needs fixing..

It looks like the roof bars are wrapped in film

 

 

Here is a list of what I would like to sort out:

 

Speedometer not working (Intermittent, I put my foot down once and it just started working again for about 5min)

Front/ Rear wipers not working

Aircon not working/no display

Cigarette lighter not working

Electric Mirrors not working

 

Things I'm not too worried about for now..

Clock

Power steering (intermittent)

Cruise Control (light comes on but buttons on steering wheel do nothing, is there a minimum speed before it works?)

 

Hopefully some of these are linked to something simple..

 

 

oh and here is another picture...

 

Oh and there is a yellow/amber switch to the right of the gearstick... anyone know what this does?

The speedo and power steering problem will be related to eachother.

 

The delimiter, if it has one, might just need moving to a different 12volt wire. Had that problem on my NA changed it over and no probs since

 

Does it have an aftermarket wheel? The cruise control controls are on the standard wheel so without it you can't use the crusie settings.

The steering wheel is stock with cruise control buttons. Is there any kind of indicator after you press the buttons on the wheel?

I needed to get some of the stuff sorted badly so I went to my local garage and he managed to get the window wipers, washers, air corn, electric mirrors, dashboard clock all working. Even cruise control is working fine now!

I have a jap import too ( I get the jist that yours is such) and the power steering only works when I have acheived a certain speed ( wow -exactly like back to the future) it is due to the converter that changes ya clocks from mph from kph I am told. .. about 3mph and all is fine. hope that helps. or gives you hope. all the best!
