I posted a thread about my engine not running on all cylinders. Running on 5 instead of all 6. Car runs great on 5 cylinders right now.

What I fixed so far:

New spark plugs

New Coil Pack

New PTU

checked all the lines that run into PTU-ECU-Coil pack=no issues

Still running on 5 instead of 6 cylinders.

Any ideas on the next step?

whats the mileage has the engine done and is it using any oil .. or smoking on the passenger side at all ?

oh and do u know what cylinder is missing on ?

Hi Jessica - and welcome to the club by the way - I would say the next step is to get your car plugged into a Consult for a full electronic diagnosis....

....you may be lucky and find another member who has the software living close to you (who'd happily oblige). Otherwise you might have to bite the bullet and take your car to a specialist.

Good luck,

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

put an Audi badge on it:whistling:....seriously have you tested the injector for that pot

i bet your clyinder that is not working is no 1 . the reason i say that is cas when i bought my car after it had been round the world twice and then i took to zedworld he found a dodgey plug no one cas thats the one whitch get unpluged pretty much for everything by that i mean the wiring to it,?

I check the compression on all the cylinders, the second is not hitting. I tested the line that runs into the Coil pack, there is no continuity(electric charge) running through the lines. Im going to hook up a voltage reader to all three lines tomorrow, to see which of the three prongs is not functioning.

Thanks for the advice, and if this doesn't work ZED WORLD here i come.

It's worth checking the big blue plug on the ECU and also ensuring that there are no broken wires coming out of that plug. End-to-end continuity tests!
