HID Lights

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question when fitting HID's the blubs have a line that goes at the top of them, when inserting them into the holders what position should they be in? facing up, down, left or right?? or does it not matter?

The H3 hids have the same metal cap as a normal bulb and should only fit in one way, there is a large U cut out and a smaller one, which will only locate one way. Nothing to do with the bulb orientation per se

mine face up iirc. as graham said if seated properly they should only fit one way. left or right is impossible.

well my right side seems a lot more stronger and the light projection forward seems a bit odd! thats why i was wondering!

Are the lenses clean? can make a difference in brightness, also angling them will help too, but if one bulb is not fitted correctly, you will lose some light intensity as the beam isnt being focused. The bulb should fit snugly in the holder and both sides are the same with fitment.
