Bird told me about his hatch struts from Z1 in the USA.

 

I want some like yesterday :cool3: auto opening yes please have some of that right up my street.

 

The stronger ones are $73.00, can live with that no problem but not the postage for just one item at another $70 :mad2: so anybody else where my order can be tagged on pleeeease :cool3:

PS i stupidly bought them for use with my Fibreglass boot, they are so strong the boot won't close with them fitted, just get the sound of cracking fibreglass !

Are they the stronger UHP ones or just HP, or do they both open the SWB hatch on a pull of the lever :confused1:

I think just HP, and they should just open it. Couldn't tell you as I never managed to close the boot on mine!

I am sure you've read this on their website, the only difference seems to regard closure.

 

*Please note; These hatch struts are stronger and intended as an upgrade to the stock units, not just a standard replacement. Upgraded hatch HP struts will require a little more effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place, while UHP units will require a notable amount of effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place.

 

Both versions must open it up or else whats the point, what shall we do?

I contacted them and they charged about $50 shipping mate. I think I have the UHP ones - I did ask for that anyway

just get the spec off them bud phone round your local hydroclics palce pick them up for half the price here in the uk without postage. its only a case of finding one the same size but with a higher rebound rate.

if you would like to open you boot faster then why dont you take the weights out the boot lid i think there are two in there!

this is a good point also, and yeah it really is that easy. pop one off find a local supplier and take it in say you want one that will do what you want maybe even take the car quite quickly you will have what you want. :)

we did some hydraulically operated stainless steel swimming pool covers. we simply spoke to the company they requested the dimensions weight etc and provided the struts.
