Now my Gold Ultralites are not gold anymore its time to get the second set of 18"s I have refurbed.

They are Fox RS according to the centre caps and are a proper staggered size( 8" + 9").

they fitted the 300Zx they came off without resorting to spacers.

I quite like them but not 100% sure.

anyway I thought I would do them in a similar style to the ultralites. IE .. Polished outer lip/dish and custom metallic anthracite centres...

Ive started... so Ill finish...

Well I must admit I wasnt expecting such a good response to the thread.:winkiss:

So...................................I will turn it in to a full refurb thread with some pics along the way. I have spent all morning rubbing down . Degreasing. polishing scuffs out and masking up.

Pics to follow.....................................

good on you pete got some very slight curbing on mine and scratches in the laquer to repair, plus i dont fancy paying a company £120 a wheel to refurb!

how much????????

Im sure I could do them for £119:whistling:

well they say because my 19's are polished lip they have to be diamond cut on a lathe to do them which involves stripping all paint off the wheels, paint, machine then laquer but £440 when i can buy a new set for a few ££££'s more lol

agreed, going to be getting a Wide band AFR to fit, i have 2 strange wires sitting doorment ive found, one down by the battery and the other on the opposite side of the car, both have the same small 4 pin connector on, but in different colours, both go down near the turbo to some where? need to figure out where yet and what they are for before i remove them, might be part of the traction control system.

anyway is that the final colour of the wheels? always had a soft spot for gunmetal gray wheels with polished lip

Yes it is. I also have a very nice custom gunmetal gray that I have used on various items in the past. It was a toss up between the antracite and the gunmetal.

So with several nice coats of 2K lacquer the result looks like this.................................................

Anyway Im off to take the masking paper off now. I might leave some heat on overnight in the workshop to help the lacquer cure properly.
