As the above mentions,

Im looking at some point in January/Feb to have my Zed sprayed and kit fitted but was wondering how much roughly would this cost and is there anyone in the northwest who will do a good enough job?

The kit is Scareb front bumper-Vented front wings and rear zenon wide arch and bumper kit with lower tailgate spoiler.

The colour I am after is white.

I know there will be add ons etc... but a rough base on each would help me.

Many thanks

A colour change repaint, with kit fitting (wide arch?) I would have thought you would start the counting at 5k?

Cheers Joel, was thinking roughly around that myself for a decent job, will be getting quotes soon so will put the prices on here to get feedback from you guys on what is best option.

It's the usual how long is a piece of string thing really, from my experience I'd say for just painting it works out at about £100 a panel. What I would say is that anything you can do yourself will save serious money. if you can find a body shop that would be up for just spraying (I.e no sanding or prep) that can pretty much halve your costs :)

Was thinking of trying to do as much as possible myself, ive already taken off bumpers spoiler etc.. to save on time and also to see if there is any rust to which the car is solid.

What else could be done to save on costs which i could complete myself.

One problem with doing any prep work yourself is if there are future problems and warranty. Will your bodyshop put right any issues or blame your prep work :(

Yeah that's worth thinking about - depends on how confident you are with sandpaper and primer!

Depending on how thorough you want the respray to be there's lots you can do:

- Take out as much interior as possible and remove door cars and mask up the access panels

- Remove the bonnet lining

- Remove the washer jets

- Remove the lights and mask the wiring the gaps

- Find a company that can remove the windows for cheap

Of course it all depends on what degree you want to take it to, whether you want to spray under the bonnet etc, also doing as much sanding as possible will save you loads :)
