Main beam (high beam) are generally only used by people to flash other people....

HID's don't like being flashed, shortens their life. (not to mention the dispersion pater, as there is no projector lens, not that it matter much for high beam)

So not really economical but no one is stopping you if you want to used them, but remember you will have two extra ballasts to hide / put somewhere.

If you want High beams that batch the low/dipped beam colour there are bulbs available that look more like them.

I've just bought some more from this seller as I am prepping some headlights on the bench and fitting some halos whilst I am at it

I happen to think the 50w halogen bulbs in the main beam work very well and project the light much further than my HID dipped, of course as Gerry as said if you had H1 HID's here when you flash from cold you would only get a girly bit of a flicker :glare:

Just fitted mine this week, nice slim ballast so easy to get in.

Found it much easier to just unbolt the headlight unit to get to the bulbs.

Nice and bright in my garage!!!!....I never fit the headlights to the Zed Mark....sold them to dicky96 last night.

No reason though why they wouldn't be as you say, Cyberbean as fit his perhaps he'll come on.

Dispatch is quick, like anything though from the far east can be anything from 5 days to 25, usually in my experience take about 10, 12 days :cool3:

I just typed in h3 hid kit bought a set around £30 that was nearly a year ago worked perfect

much brighter and no problems.

if they last a yr I'd be happy to buy another set. but they show no signs of giving up yet.

see if I can find the ones I bought and post up.

just typed in (h3 hid kit) went down a few and hid kit 300zx is in the listing.

less then £30 delivered 6000k and work fine on mine.

I think they are excellent and the ballast is nice and small. They are the only HIDs I have ever used so nothing to compare them to apart from the standard Zed lights.

Also the instruction book is in amazing Japlish and is good for a laugh!
