And I dont mean have you read a review where someone said they once knew a bloke who did 10000 laps of the Nurbergring on them etc etc:glare:

cant comment on these particularly, but had toyo R888 on my 320bhp s13, they are the same style, and they transformed it, made it actually controllable, as a posed to sideways everywhere, didn't do any track time on them, but what i will say be vary careful in the wet, as the toyo's were like driving on ice.

dont expect them to last long though lol.

Yep I know all about the limitations

i simply cant run to a full set of 888s so I have bought these as an alternative.

They will be more than adequate for my modest power and driving skills.

i just wanted to see if anyone had actually used them on the track?

Thats going to aquaplane like a b.......h in heavy rain!!!!!!

Tread looks like any normal tyre to me. I run AD08s with less sipes than those and don't aquaplane too bad really.

hey pete, old thread but how did you find these?

They were advertised in the local paper....pmsl.....Sorry Rick, couldn't resist.....:whistling:

i wanted to r888 on mine but it ant worth the risk of even slightly damp roads, there not designed for the road for good reason and i also think that i red somwere that there soon to be banenned for the road so make sure befor you buy and dont waste your money. i now have toyo proxes ti sport on front and toyo c1s ont he back

my car wont be used in extreme conditions or where i dont think it will be worth taking it out...IE only the summer on the better days.

as an fyi, r888's provide better grip in damp conditions than a normal road tire. They only run out of talent in standing water, or very cold temps. I've driven in the snow in them and they're fine as long as you're sensible
