must be doing it wrong on photo bucket damed if i get get the vid to work,,anyway anyone got any ideas?

hmm for some reason its not linking your video correctly from your photobucket account, ive sorted the link though on the second post for you.

fuel pressure? change your fuel pressure regulator, might be leaking fuel slowly back into the tank hence having to try starting it twice as the fuel gets pumped back into the system.

Mine always fires up first time. But did the boost gauge yesterday. when I tried to fire it up it took a couple of turns.. also idled slighty higher..

When I looked at the pipes they were a bit tired. Replaced with fresh and problem sorted..

probably miles away from the mark but hope its also something stupid and cheap to sort out....

cheers for sorting the vid for me vod

will give jeff a call about the fuel pressire regulator see how much one of them is

that is a real odd one.. i'm going with fuel starvation too though. Had a mondeo diesel that did this and turned out to be the fuel pump. hope its something cheaper mind!

still hitting a dead end with this problem ,anyone got any ideas what to change or look for next

when you say you've spoken to Jeff did you also take it to them?

what have you done to try and fix it & what checks have you done?

what other work have you done to it?

did you check and clean all the connectors?

like Vod says it might be one of the regulators...

do a fuel pressure test, that way you can confirm or rule out a problem there.

there is a relay in the drivers side foot well for the fuel pump as well, that may have a bad connection.

check the fuse under bonnet drivers side near firewall.

check the fuel pump connections (under tyre well).

good luck.

What have you tried already? Have you done a boost leak check? idle seems very low to start

My mate had the same problem which got worse as it got colder, my SWB if left outside in winter is also not happy on cold start. In garage OK. Unfortunately my mate has no garage so sold the Z, a nice one too. Now has 350Z minter but he realises it doesn't have the same kick. I assumed it was down to weak spark somewhere? we both replaced our plugs though with no difference. He had series 2 PTU and me series 1 so that can't be the culprit?? By the way did you get my previous message? it's Pete the Z you saw in andover last weekend give us a call sometime 07747035677

yeah ok Pete will give you a call some time never been in a shorty slick top , hope its still running ok

well all ive try is what jeff said it could be ,,pump ecu i got one from jeff and fitted it but still the same so put mine back and sent it back ,other then that checked and cleaned all plugs

once its fired up it runs sweet so im thinking fuel running back over night but im limited to what i know, think i will make a trip up to jeffs next year but its a long way for him to say its a relay
