Plus another method that works is fall asleep with a fan blowing on you because they cant get near your skin then

yeah i get bit by them and it inflames really really bad ... to the point ones it starts to infect me

I've got one of those battery powered zappers like a little tennis racquet. It's great fun wandering round the house bopping them and making them spark!!

I'm one of those lucky people that mozzies leave alone. Do get plagued with bloody moths and daddy long legs though...

I'm also one of the lucky ones and don't get bitten that often my boy on other hand is smothered in them.

You could always try rubbing citronella oil into your skin! It works with the horses lol
