Did you bleed the ABS pump? Shouldn't really need to if you just changed the callipers but worth a try??

its as if the rears are working harder than the fronts

does it matter if the fronts are brembro and the rears are standard

Nah, shouldnt matter

Did you bleed in the correct order?

start from the closest brake to the master cylinder to the furthest

does that include the rears even though they werent touched or do i just bleed the 2 fronts plus these calipers have 2 bleed nipples 1on the inside and 1 on the outside

Dont think rears need bleeding, try bleeding again, remember to leave open the resovoir lid/cap, leave enough fluid in it.

try bleeding through both nipples, I'm not familiar with Brembos to be honest.

I think the reason your rears are working hard is because your having to press the brake pedal really hard for the fronts to work.

so bleed the drivers side first on both nipples then the passeger if u press the pedal twice it tightens up as normal

yeah, driver side front, passenger side front, driver side rear and then passenger side rear

just do the fronts in your case.

I imagine the calipers are pretty big hence they have 2 nipples, bleed via bother nipples, once you feel pedal feels nice and tight, move on to the next caliper

dont forget to keep the brake fluid lid open with plenty of fluid in it and dont let it run empty.

see how that goes mate

I assume you have installed the calipers the right way up ????????

the calipers have the bleed nipples at the top

do i bleed with the engine running or not

could a poor seal on the fluid resavoir cap be a prob

No, the caps there to keep contaminates out, the seal being faulty will will not cause a broblem with brake operation other than over time allowing moisture into the system

Does the pedal seem spongy or is it just that there is more travel than you previously had. Remember you have changed the calipers, it could be down to the change in volume of fluid required to operate them. I have also seen cases where you get a crap pedal after changing pads, but it quickly improves after bedding the brakes in.

there is more travel than before but if u push it 2wice its where it was with the other calipers on

Brakes could be needing bedded in rather that further bleeding. Is it 2nd hand pads & discs or new? 2nd hand will probably take longer to settle in especially if you have mixed the pads up. I would be tempted to give it a good run to see if the pedal improves.

If it was air then you would expect the pedal to remain spongy. It could still be a leak in the system or the master cylinder on the road out.

2nd hand discs and pads so will try and bed in

Fingers crossed it sorts it out.

Just make sure that the brakes are stopping you before you take it on the road :) and that the issue is only with pedal travel!

has only happened since these discs and pads were fitted

brakes all sorted now lads was air in the system on the offside caliper

thats good news!:thumbup1: in what order did you bleed the calipers and did you bleed both brembo nipples at once or one at a time?
